Silly

Keach sent me a link to a My Little Pony maker today, and then proceeded to make a color-blocked pony of me.

I edited a couple things, and it took us a while to find a mane-style that sort of works. Keach’s original pony had a mullet …

It’s kind of like design, right?

It’s Raining

This is a much delayed post, but we got pets! I adopted a cat from the SFSPCA, and my housemate Ian adopted a dog from Rocket Dog. They’re super cute!

This is my cat, Anthea. She was actually pretty difficult to name (her name when we got her was Sheena). We were thinking about calling her Marlene Dietrich, since she’s a classy lady in a tux, but the name doesn’t really roll of the tongue well. I eventually settled on Anthea because, well, I’m a huge Sherlock fan. And the Greek reference pleased Erik, so that was good. (He wanted to call her Ofelia).

And this is Ian’s dog, Bailey. She was named Bailey when we got her, and I guess Ian liked the name (I also hear that dog names are harder to change? I’m not sure how it works). She’s super cute and affectionate, but she doesn’t much like men. We think she was a stray for a while, and then fostered by a woman. She warmed up to Ian pretty quickly though, and doesn’t really mind Erik.

Anthea and Bailey only sort of get along right now. We have to keep Bailey out of my room because she’ll eat Anthea’s food, so we have a baby gate in front of my door. (And now Amazon thinks I have a baby, which is a bit weird.) They can be in the same room together, so it’s not a big deal if they’re roaming the living room at the same time, but Anthea gets a bit freaked out of Bailey gets too close. She’s getting better though – sometimes she lets Bailey sniff her. Bailey is mostly just curious, I think.

Here’s a picture of them napping close to each other. That’s about as close as Anthea will let Bailey get usually.
